Why mobile companies stopped giving earphones
Budget phones were the first to sell smartphones without earphones. The OnePlus One was one of those phones that came without earphones. Most companies do this to reduce costs.
As more competing companies entered the budget segment, they tried their best to reduce the cost of smartphones by cutting down on all the essentials. Later Nokia did the same with the budget range Lumia phones.
However, some companies offer bundled earphones like Samsung and Oppo. The budget segment has become so competitive for smartphone companies that they do everything possible with their phones. Consider Xiaomi, they haven't dropped a single sensor on the Note, so they don't offer earphones to keep the cost down.
While Samsung which sells its phones at very high prices omitted many sensors in its budget phones, it offers earphones built into its handsets. Companies do not provide earphones bundled with their devices in order to provide better phones at a better price.
You will see this trend only on phones offering value for money. Take for example Xiaomi, One Plus.
Even if these companies start offering earphones it will not be as good as they mainly focus on cheap phones with good specs. (See the earphones supplied with Samsung) You will still end up buying the earphones from another company.
Why mobile companies stopped giving earphones you know now.
