When and who built the 9999 steps of Girnar?
Know its full history
Friend..when it comes to Junagadh, the only thing that comes to mind is Garvo Girnar in Junagadh.
Girnar is a symbol of faith for all. Every year lakhs of devotees come to climb Girnar.
On Girnar... Shri Neminathdada's tank (total 14 tanks), Shri Ambika Mata and... On top... Shri Neminathdada's Moksha Kalyanak tank and... Shri Dattatreya is the abode of God.
You too have climbed the steps of Girnar many times for pilgrimage, but have you ever wondered….who made all these steps? How made?
So let's know its full history. There is a great history associated with the construction and stages of Dost Girnar. We all know that Girnar is the highest mountain in Gujarat. People come here for pilgrimage throughout the year and people also enjoy Lili Parikrama during Devdiwali.
It was centuries ago when Udayan Mantri was brought into one camp to win Gujarat. But his body got injured due to the war. He died on his way back victorious with milk, during which time he gave a letter to his son.
When his son read this message, he said, "I wish to rebuild the Ugadidev temple at Setunjai and set foot on the Girnar shrine." After reading this message of his father, his son Bahadur Mantri built the temple of Ugadidev on Shatrunjaya.
He fulfilled a wish of Mahamatya Udayan. But now the stairs were yet to be built on the Girnar shrine. That wish was yet to come true.
According to his father, Bahar ministers had come to Junagadh to establish a foothold on Girnar. Here they saw high cliffs and rocks on the mountain. He saw the vast perimeter of the mountain and the peaks talking to the cloud.
Seeing all this, they were initially confused as to how to build a road on such a big mountain. The sculptors who accompanied him did a lot of work but no one knew where to start the road.
The brave minister thought a lot and brainstormed a lot, but he could not understand where the path of Girnar passed. Then he remembered Amba, the protector of Girnar. He took a vow and sat at the feet of Mother Amba.
There was only one thing in his mind that mother, you show me the way how can I make stairs to climb the rock. So that I can be free from the promise I made to my father.
He started fasting to seek the blessings of the mother, days passed, it was three days, the minister was confident that the mother would unexpectedly solve my problem. And as soon as that happened, his belief came true.
On the last day of the third puja, Mata Amba appeared and said that on the path I walk without injury, make stairs on that path.
The minister was very happy to hear this. There was an atmosphere of happiness in the atmosphere. Mata Ambika traveled through difficult roads in Girnar and the stairs fell on her way. There came a moment when the voice of the atmosphere resonated. After doing this, Bahad was very happy with the happiness of loan waiver and after spending sixty lakhs, the stairs of Girnar were built and the way of pilgrimage to Girnar became somewhat easier.
So friends, let us tell you that today we can do Girnar Jatra so easily only because of the minister. Many thanks to the one who stepped on Girnar.
By which we can see Sri Neminathdada, Sri Ambika Maa and Dattatreya very easily.
🗻Girnar mountain is older than Himalaya?⛰️
Yes, Girnar mountain is older than Himalaya.
Billions of years ago there were only two continents on Earth's surface. Laurasia in the north and Gondwana in the south. About 15 million years ago, the Indian subcontinent separated from Gondwana and began to move north. When this plate collides with Laurasia, the tectonic plate formed is the Himalayas.
The Girnar mountain was there since India's separation from Chechand Gondwana. So Girnar mountain is older than Himalaya
