Why was Ved Vyas sad after writing Mahabharata?

It is said that when Mahabharata was written, Maharishi Ved Vyasa was tired of his labor. However, Ganesha was chosen as the scribe for the writing of this huge treatise. Due to the department and editing of the four Vedas, he was named Ved Vyas, but his fame was more with the Mahabharata. Not only this, he was also a witness to all the important events of that time. Many important things are associated with the creation of Mahabharata.

For example, in the Mahabharata, Ved Vyas has described from the beginning of creation to Kaliyuga. He said that whatever is in this book is a yantra, but what is not in it, that yantra is nowhere to be found. By writing the Mahabharata, he did not want to describe a great war, but wanted to establish the values of life. A strange thing in itself is that Ved Vyasa was not happy even after preparing a complete epic in one lakh verses on subjects like religion, spirituality, society, politics, art and literature. He was missing something in the story. One day he was sitting sad and Naradji passed by. Naradji suggested to him that your story is based on the world. So after its creation you are sad. You should make a book that has God in the center. It was only after this that Ved Vyas composed the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran.

Ved Vyasa also wrote in Yoga, Vedanta, grammar and literature. They are considered to be trikalgyas. He knew divinely that Dharma would be destroyed in Kali Yuga. People will start becoming atheists. It would be difficult for them to read the Vedas as a whole. They will not get time for this. Nor would I want to read them. So he divided the Vedas into four parts. Their names were Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda.

After dividing the Vedas, he taught his disciples Sumantu, Jaimini, Paila and Vaishampayana and his son Shukadeva and preached the Mahabharata. Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is a part of the epic Mahabharata. In the Mahabharata war, Lord Krishna preached the Gita to prepare Arjuna for battle. Today in every household, the recitation of Gita is done with great devotion and devotion. It is considered the basis of knowledge.

Ved Vyas may have been troubled by writing Mahabharata, but he has expressed the essence of religion in this book. He wrote two verses at the end of the epic to explain the philosophy of the Mahabharata such as the Beejmantra or mathematical formulas. Their gist is that I say raising my hand, but no one wants to listen to me. That is, only Artha and Kama get accomplishment from religion, yet why people do not consume it. That is, those who wish for their welfare should not leave their religion because of fear or greed.

Ved Vyas has also said in Mahabharata itself that the whole religion can be written in one verse. According to him, serving others is dharma and causing pain to others is sin (adharma). Explaining the meaning of behavior, he has said that we should not behave with others who do not like us.
