Why did the movie "Sholay" become so popular?
Technically speaking, there are many reasons why Sholay movie was a super hit.
1) The traditional screen size was changed from 35mm to 70mm. People welcomed this change very much.
2) The first Dolby sound system was introduced in Indian cinema. It worked great with a 70mm screen.
3) The dialogues of the film movie were spread very well by the cassettes.
4) The trend of love story was changed to a story of deception.
5) The story, music, songs, dialogues were well received by the people.
This is very interesting movies ever.
